Subject: Joely Fisher on The Late Late Show (8/31/99).....

Any of you that saw this know what I'm talkin about...... ;-)

But for those of you that didn't....let me tell ya.....

So Joely and Craig Kilborn start talkin about the fact that Joely is
gonna start doin Caberet(sp) (A Broadway show)....anyway the character
she plays is basically a smoking whore.....

So Craig asks...."So can you smoke and sing....I would think that would
be kinda hard to smoke and sing......" Then he reaches over and pulls
out a box of Marlboro Red's and they both proceed to light up..... Craig
was like "is this how you do it ??" And Joely was like "I've never done
this before in my life..." Altho you could note the sarchasm in her
voice.... Then she says "I hope my mom isn't watching.... and you kids
should never do this...." blah blah blah......

So she lights up and takes the first drag and inhalees......it was one
of those what I call "has probably smoked a lot of pot" inhales......the
kind where you can hear the air whisp past their lips as they suck in
really fast......so then she exhales.....I'm thinkin......pretty
nice.....

Then Craig was askin her how she can sing and smoke at the same time and
he tried to do it and he wasn't very good......Joely then proceeds to
say "No....more like this......She then takes a nice long drag....deep
inhale....and starts singing....about a second later the smoke started
to come out of her mouth......then about 2 seconds later she holds a
note with virbrato.....and the smoke just starts rolling out of her
mouth !! My jaw dropped !! She held the note for about 5 seconds I'd
say.......I was too stunned to even move much less think about lookin
for the VCR remote to hit the record button......The next thing I did
was hit the Satellite guide and set a record timer for the CBS west
coast edition ....3 hours later....

So.....I bet your wishin I had the equipment to digitize this huh
!!......ME TOO !!!!!

On a side note .....I'm not sure if this qualifies as a confirmation or
not ......but I don't think there are any non-smokers in this world who
can talk or sing while exhaling a Marlboro Red without hackin up a
lung.....

And now if you'll excuse me.....I have to go watch it again.....:-P
