| Sommarnattens leende (1955) | aka Smiles on a Summer Night. Eva Dahlbeck "[Carlqvist] Smokes a long, thin cigar in 2 scenes" "Two attractive Swedish actresses in their mid-20s/30s smoke, albeit not as well as one might wish, in this early Ingmar Bergman romantic comedy set at the turn of the century. First Carlqvist smokes with a holder for several minutes, mostly sort of sipping at it, generating a lot of smoke in fairly close shots but either not inhaling or barely inhaling the last part of her drag. In two later scenes, Dahlbeck, who previously announced 'I only smoke cigars,' lights up a cigar and flourishes it rather dramatically each time, creating some well-lit smoke without seeming to really inhale."
