"Lana cups her hands around the flame as she lights her cigarettes in the manner of one who is used to lighting up in awkward conditions (but then she was a big IRL smoker). In one scene she appears to remove a flake of tobacco from her tongue. An open-mouth inhale/exhale is unfortunately filmed in medium shot, but it still looks good. There is dialogue regarding her heavy smoking as she chain-lights a fresh cigarette from the butt of the one before, which she stubs out in her overflowing ashtray."
