"There are three smoking scenes, all with cigar-like joints, and all hard to watch, because the director intercuts all his scenes with others. The opening credits scene in bed with her boyfriend is also done in a multiple split-screen style, but playback in slow-motion shows a light-up right at the bottom of the frame, a deep inhale, and a fantastic triple nose and mouth exhale, with decreasing but clearly visible amounts of inhaled smoke on three panted breaths. There is also a brief holding scene with a thin exhale, and a longer scene with a couple of light-ups, one light-up followed by a double exhale: one from nose and mouth, then another of the inhaled smoke."
