| Barnie et ses petites contrariétés (2001) | aka Barnie's Minor Annoyances. Marie Gillain "smokes cork-tips throughout, mostly in closeup, and when she does it the camera spends a good amount of time on her smoking. Not perfect perhaps, but still very, very good; about as good as smoking in French movies ever gets." "Gillain does smoke a fair number of times, but almost always rushes her smoking out of anger or nervousness. Perhaps as a result, sometimes she inhales and sometimes she doesn't. This does seem to happen fairly often with French actresses, but not always. There are better films to enjoy French women smoking, including one or two in which Gillain herself inhales more evocatively."
